Quest 016

Ignoramus tell others “I am born Hindu “, that means he is not Moslem neither Christian nor Jew nor Buddhist/Jain. Does Ignoramus feel lucky to be a Hindu by birth in Hindu majority state? What would be his state of mind in Bangladesh? What is there to mark him a Hindu?
Ignoramus wear shirt, trousers and shoes. His English and mother tongue Bengali are equally faulty. He has little knowledge of Hindu religious practices and scriptures. Ignoramus probably did not eat dog and cat meat. But Goat pig cow meat is no bar for food.

Are those doubts and questions are hallmarks of a Hindu? Of course there are very frigid and marked orthodox doubtless Hindus.

Rolling nationalsm

(Continued from)
So to fabricate a successful nationalism, one need great leader who himself is driven with the urge to drive the nation through prosperity/doom high way, will find facts and fictions to sew blanket of beliefs. Nationalism takes shape if the leader can fire the imaginations of people with those beliefs. And it needs reinforcement of beliefs and updating. To avoid dilution of nationalism prayer, promise, pledge etc are used as prop.

Sometime we ordinary people do not understand where our leaders are taking us. Germans believed Herr Hitler was taking them to prosperity, but the dream turned sour. Many Indians had doubt about intentions and ability of Mahatma Gandhi, but gradually changed their views.

New ideas and ideals often breaks nationalism, sometimes make another. Examples are aplenty in east disintegrated Europe. Now Euro is big experiment in Europe. Ignoramus is fascinated because it is a collective intellectual drive against all odds to unite countries of Europe, wish them big success.
(Shall I continue?)
