This and That 008

His highness President of my country is afraid of new Right of Information Act. He is afraid of Google Earth too; I came to know from press. One would applaud because he is unafraid to show his feelings; I am, an ordinary man, beg to differ and vote yes for both. In a democratic set up common folks and VVIPs should agree to disagree, though most opinions of the later prevail. Some say today information is power and powerful persons are VVIPs; we want to hold on status quo.

Governments, of all countries’, want to police the net. There is good and bad side of it. True, internet is not Eden. Harmful people with their not so good motives man many portals; send many bad e-mails. My request, as confidence building measure, let us have e-police (e-thana) stations where we can post/present general diaries etc.

I am a very bad customer. So I am kicked by all and sundry sellers. Tata guys did the same to me. I was about to write “You too Brutus nee TATA”. But the story isn’t that bad. Read on.

Now it is working. Upload speed is faster than copper dialup. Download speed is same. This is wireless internet connection by data card. Vendor is Tata Indicom. Same service is now available from Airtel and Reliance also. There was some goof-off or goof-up in tatahouse up somewhere. But my interfaces namely Ms Arpita Pal, Mr. Shubhankar Bhattacharya, Mr. Sumanta Chowdhury of the same house or associates did their best to make it working. It took fifteen days flat to be activated but now it is kicking. I am childishly excited.

Shall ignoramus relocate mirror of desire to Fine Link from Love Link? King is busy with e-mails after coronation, Manhattan Waitress took leave after accident; but Gina remains undeterred. Blogasmic is seeking nobility by writing a novel. Eyes remain wide apart to see dumped sketches. Ani’s world is changing and the fish is still riding a bicycle. My days are alive, thanks to all and Deb’s socks will be in demand this winter. Ranty Waiter’s service is above per.

Ignoramus is in search of cool place to learn English in the web.

This and That 007

This country of poor people doesn’t need so many Governors. Perhaps four are good for e-age e-Governance. South, Central, North-East and North-west four Governors are enough. Let us abolish the post of Vice President. Governor of Central and /or North-west will work as VP.

“Why do you create us?”
“You created me.”
“Do you mean we living things created you?”
“Not the rest, only you humans imagine me.”
“No, no, it is not just imagination; we feel your presence, not all but many great men.”
“Your imaginations are often very strong.”
“Do you want to say that I am talking to myself?”
“You do it most of the time unless you blog.”

Immersion of Durga idol in Hingalgaunge or Taki the border towns is itself a ceremony. In evening boatful of people along with idol loaded big boats make round and round on the river. Many people gather on both the banks (Bangladesh and India) for the show. Law keepers BDR and BSF respectively had tough time to keep the border intact and at the same time not to abolish a tradition. Boats flew respective national flags to mark themselves but could go any sides without being challenged. There was lots of dancing and cheering. Some people threw sweets to passing boats. We could have done the same had we knew it a practice. Let us hope vandals do not take over to ruin the camaraderie.

Let me acknowledge Vivek recorded the cake eating on film and again it is Abhijit who took us fifteen heads to Hasnabad for one night out.

This And That 006

I have nothing in my mind to write. Found out an posting error and edited Evolve. A Bengali book “bishaad briksha” written almost as memoir by Mr Mihir SenGupta came in my hand at that time. Experience of minority Hindu landed middle class and imagery of small village at Barisal in pre independent Bangladesh is remarkably same as what I was thinking of minorities at the time, to write Evolve. I dove into the book.

I bought the 8th Habit via eBay. Seven habits are
· To be proactive
· To begin end in mind
· To put first thing first
· To think win/win
· To seek first to understand, then to be understood
· To synergize
· To sharpen the saw (make loops).
We need private victories; first three will help. For public victories next thee are essential. Paradigm changes and challenges of growth are not onetime affair; tools to be sharpened and adjusted, so we make loops. Now comes the 8th habit.

What is very wrong in this blog?

success at Delhi

My experience of seven days in Delhi and Gaziabad is very positive. People there did a lot with vehicle pollution and improvement is very much evident. Add more public toilets please. This request goes to neighboring states too.

Quest 011

Another revolutionary success, the parties in the Govt. sponsored another strike. I should be very happy, thanks to lefties in the Govt, my salary is protected. Earning isn’t protected for the most. Not-so-lucky has to bear with it. Dogmatic lefty’s behaviors are becoming repulsive by the day. Or perhaps it is my age. In West Bengal, Late Ajoy Mukherjee was Bhagirath for communists. Let us see if Mr. Manmohan and Ms Sonia can do the same at Delhi. We Bangalees voted communists in, but unable to throw them out.
RSS claim to be a culture forming organization. A total lie; It is very ambitious (group of people) organization, want to take full control of Indian political power. Can it prevent communists from acquisition of the throne at Delhi?

When I was young I had been afraid of making a fool of myself. I did not write poetry poems or love letters. Now at my age I have nothing to loose.

Declaration

Please allow me to surrender the Telephone Instrument for the number 91 33 24798342 and arrange to disconnect the line henceforth. To the best of my knowledge I paid all bills. I pledge to pay residuals in next bills. This is my prayer to authority.
I voluntarily disconnected the instrument and arranged to send and surrender the instrument to BSNL office. I am sure bureaucracy of BSNL will make the disconnection difficult. I shall taste the bureaucracy of Reliance next. Privatization is no panacea.
Tel No 24798342 is no more functioning.
