Partha

Bank gives money to a person or institution against some securities. These have to be least risky. Bank people feel comfortable if recipient have good reputation. A bank usually feels unsafe to finance to a new business more so if business idea/theme is new. Venture Capitalists often come to do the job. There prime interest is (profit and) business idea, they try to judge whether it make sense to take the risk, new person in business with new idea are their clients. I was reading somewhere, it was often found person with brightest ideas are not good businessman. These guys end up either as technical expert in the organization they had started or get themselves out by selling the business to other persons. Venture capitalists have to keep a close watch. My friend Parthapratim Ray is a bright man who jumps into new businesses but need somebody to take him out of it.
